June 5, 2012: A book about the Philip K Dick android project has been released by Henry Holt. It has the catchy title of How to Build an Android: The True Story of Philip K. Dick's Robotic Resurrection. This is a detailed and well-researched account of the Philip K Dick android project and captures the fevered events surrounding the building of the android, as well as its mysterious and unfortunate disappearance in late 2005. We encourage you to buy a copy and read it.
The android itself involved several technical and scientific obstacles, however the ultimate aim was as a work of art, a sort of robotic portrait.
For information on some of the people who contributed to the original Philip K Dick android, please look at our Credits page, although this is not comprehensive. There were so many people who helped out in various ways that it is inevitable that someone has been left off!
